This is about shutting down the haters. I've had a lot of negativity sent my way since starting my music journey, so this song's about perseverance and not listening to the people who try to bring you down to their level. My advice... surround yourself with people you can count on for support.

Singer | Songwriter from Sydney
I'm a singer/songwriter from Sydney's Northern Beaches. So far I've released five self-recorded singles and will soon release my debut EP ‘Homesick’. I'm lucky enough to have been mentored at JMC Academy by Rick Grossman - bass player with both The Divinyls and The Hoodoo Gurus and a two-time ARIA Hall of Famer.
My music has been heavily influenced by global pop artists (Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, etc.) and more subtly influenced by Indie and Rock artists like Lime Cordiale and Arctic Monkeys. I write melody-driven Pop songs that navigate my personal experiences in an attempt to relate to and connect with my audience.

Hold Me Down is about letting go of the past and finding and following a new direction in life. It captures the moment when I realised I didn't need to be scared of the unknown that lies ahead and should be excited to move forward.
This song represents the start of a new phase in Ben’s life… the next in his ‘timeline’ to that point if you like. “I wrote this when I had just started at JMC Academy and finally felt like I had a path to follow. It’s about moving forward and not dwelling on the past, with a nod to previous relationships too.”
